Dr. José M. Fernández is a Research Scientist at the Instituto de Estructura de la Materia IEM-CSIC in Madrid, Spain. He has published over 55 papers (h-index 18) on quantitative Raman spectroscopy and its application to molecular mapping (temperature and density) of supersonic gas jets, energy exchange by inelastic molecular collisions, and kinetics of clustering and crystallization.
He has delivered 24 talks (9 invited) at national and international events, lead 6 R+D projects and participated in another 14. His current research lines are fluid dynamics in terms of molecular interactions, including the crystallization of deeply supercooled liquids like hydrogen or water.”
