Lindong Weng is a Research Fellow in the Center for Engineering in Medicine at Massachusetts
General Hospital and holds a joint appointment at Harvard Medical School. He received his PhD
in Mechanical Engineering from Dalian University of Technology in 2012. Before working with
Prof. Mehmet Toner at MGH and HMS, he spent two and a half years as a postdoctoral researcher
with Prof. Gloria Elliott at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His research focuses on
molecular simulation-guided design of novel cryoprotective formulations, thermodynamics in
biopreservation, ice nucleation catalysis and ice crystallization inhibition, and microfluidics
technology in biomedicine.
